{"id":4943,"date":"2011-09-09T06:38:55","date_gmt":"2011-09-09T13:38:55","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/simonburrow.com\/\/?p=4943"},"modified":"2011-08-27T12:52:30","modified_gmt":"2011-08-27T19:52:30","slug":"a-new-tax-we-can-agree-on","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/simonburrow.com\/?p=4943","title":{"rendered":"A New Tax We Can Agree On."},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Liberals want to raise taxes on the &#8220;rich&#8221; to balance the budget and keep spending.<\/p>\n<p>Conservatives want the government to balance the budget by &#8220;cutting services for other but not for me.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>I propose that we have a new entertainment tax on media companies.\u00a0 Lets make it one percent of all revenue at all media companies.\u00a0 Cable companies, sports teams, TV, radio, video games, magazines, newspapers and movies.\u00a0 Since most of these companies are run by liberals they won&#8217;t object to this new luxury tax.<\/p>\n<p>Of course if they do object they will be exposed as hypocrites.\u00a0 It seems like a win-win for the taxpayers.<\/p>\n<p>btw After we get done with this failed idea we will have still have to have entitlement reform.\u00a0 The future growth of Medicare and Social Security has to be constrained.\u00a0 Anybody that tells you differently is drinking the koolaid.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Liberals want to raise taxes on the &#8220;rich&#8221; to balance the budget and keep spending.
