{"id":3577,"date":"2010-09-22T15:05:48","date_gmt":"2010-09-22T23:05:48","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/simonburrow.com\/\/?p=3577"},"modified":"2010-10-06T05:03:12","modified_gmt":"2010-10-06T13:03:12","slug":"whale-sharks-in-baja","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/simonburrow.com\/?p=3577","title":{"rendered":"Whale Sharks in Baja"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>In March the Codger Divers went to Utila with the hope of seeing whale sharks.\u00a0 We had a good time but failed to see any whale sharks.\u00a0 A few months ago my neighbor Jose M. told me that there were whale sharks in Bahia de Los Angeles, Baja California.\u00a0 Howard and I drove down on Tuesday and dove with Ricardo Arce today and we saw them.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a class=\"tt-flickr tt-flickr-Small\" title=\"P1010038\" href=\"http:\/\/simonburrow.com\/\/photos\/photo\/5015588199\/p1010038.html\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/farm5.static.flickr.com\/4109\/5015588199_d56141f967_m.jpg?resize=240%2C180\" alt=\"P1010038\" width=\"240\" height=\"180\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>In fact we saw several.\u00a0 One was named Francine.\u00a0 They are huge and fast but extremely gentle.\u00a0 I had borrowed Mark Z&#8217;s underwater camera for this moment so I was able to take several excellent pictures of the inside of the lens cap.
