Tecate, Baja California, Mexico (September 17, 2010) \u2013 Corredor Historico CAREM, A. C. announced today the opening and presentation of the exhibit CHANGING BOUNDARIES on Friday, October 1 at 6 p.m.<\/strong><\/p>\n

<\/strong><\/p>\n

Maps tell stories.\u00a0 Learn how the US-Mexico border evolved over the last four centuries in this exhibit of beautiful antique maps.\u00a0 Original maps dated as early at 1600 show the claims, counter claims, conquests and discoveries that resulted in the current border line.\u00a0 See proof that California is an island and learn how the\u00a0 current US\/Mexico border line came to be where it is today.<\/strong><\/p>\n

<\/strong><\/p>\n

Exhibit Curator, Simon Burrow<\/span>, will speak at the opening reception.\u00a0 40 maps will be on exhibit for the first time in Mexico.<\/strong><\/p>\n

<\/strong><\/p>\n

The exhibit will be available for viewing at CAREM in Tecate from October 1 until November 5, 2010.\u00a0 It will be open Monday through Friday 10-4\u00a0 or by appointment<\/strong><\/p>\n
