Public Art"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Michael S. and I went down to Bellflower and Santa Fe Springs on Sunday morning to look at some public art.\u00a0 Michael is an expert on the public art in LA and an excellent adventure companion.\u00a0 It was sunny in Pasadena so I extrapolated twenty miles to sunny in Bellflower but was wrong.\u00a0 Even with the overcast the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.wavenewspapers.com\/news\/local\/herald-american\/Bellflower-artwork-98050284.html\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>\u201cInvitation\/Decalogue\u201d<\/strong><\/a> in Bellflower was pretty impressive.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a class=\"tt-flickr tt-flickr-Small\" title=\"IMG_1453\" href=\"http:\/\/simonburrow.com\/\/photos\/photo\/4829051737\/img_1453.html\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/farm5.static.flickr.com\/4095\/4829051737_08e58b6b96_m.jpg?resize=240%2C180\" alt=\"IMG_1453\" width=\"240\" height=\"180\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">It is not clear what the circle of golden fiberglass tusks are supposed to represent but they looked cool and kind of hengy<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a class=\"tt-flickr tt-flickr-Small\" title=\"IMG_1456\" href=\"http:\/\/simonburrow.com\/\/photos\/photo\/4829663374\/img_1456.html\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/farm5.static.flickr.com\/4073\/4829663374_69171deb76_m.jpg?resize=240%2C180\" alt=\"IMG_1456\" width=\"240\" height=\"180\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">The installation will be at the corner of Bellflower Blvd. and the railway tracks until November.\u00a0 This more traditional bronze is a permanent installation at the old train station nearby:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a class=\"tt-flickr tt-flickr-Small\" title=\"IMG_1459\"
