What Was I Thinking (WWIT) about Trump in December 2025. I think he has reached the high watermark for the damage he can do in this his second term. He is now officially a lame duck. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

If the congressional election were held tomorrow the Republicans would lose the house. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The perception of his immigration crackdown has alienated the Hispanic vote. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

His tariff policy has introduced so much uncertainty into the marketplace that prices are sure to keep rising.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

His appeasement policy towards Putin has scared Europe and not helped Ukraine at all.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And finally the resignation of Congresswoman Greene has shown that some people think that he is not invincible. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

He had some good policy ideas but his implementation has been spotty and he doesn’t have a filter on what he says. All of which feeds the sky-is-falling press.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I predict three more years of ranting from both sides and then the election of a moderate Democrat as President. Hopefully not Gavin Newsom.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

I occasionally write a longer piece about one of the current issues facing us. Trump and his detractors fill the space today. The above are my thoughts about it. I started writing these about 5 years ago when I found my journal from Vietnam and hadn’t bothered to even mention that the USA had landed men on the moon. This is an attempt to correct that. We don’t live in a vacuum.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The lizard landed on Rebecca during a bicycle ride in Hawaii in 2005. It hung around for quite a while. Amazing.<\/p>\n\n\n
