Nothing much has changed since Churchill made this cryptic remark roughly 75 years ago. Putin has different goals and a different vision of the world than we do.

Capitalism harnesses greed to grow a nations wealth but while everyone has more, the wealth remains unevenly distributed. Many capitalists are too greedy. Men are made of crooked timber.

After he retired Winston Churchill was cruising the Mediterranean on an Italian ship. When asked why he chose an Italian ship he replied: “There are three things I like about being on an Italian cruise ship. First, their cuisine is unsurpassed. Second, their service is superb. And then, in time of emergency, there is none of this nonsense about women and children first.”
