Healthy

I first saw this quote in Aivar’s office when he was on Del Mar in west Pasadena. He wasn’t the author of the saying but he had copied it by hand and had it taped to the wall of his office. I have subsequently seen it in books and memes. Often it is rephrased: “A psychologically healthy person sees themselves as they are not the way they want to be.”

The mural is on 16th street in Phoenix near Highland. There is an excellent coffee shop in the building.

Aivar Lejins, of blessed memory, was an injection molder in the San Gabriel Valley. He made millions of specialty plastic tooth picks for me and we made each other rich. Life is good.
