This is a tough one since it is very hard to know what is inevitable. The tree in the photo is a perfect example. It predates the subdivision in Sisters, Oregon and it appears that much effort was put into saving it when the subdivision was built. Unfortunately if you pave within a few feet of a large tree you have a negative effect on it and its demise becomes inevitable. I hope trees don’t suffer.
