Life Book

Lillian used the digital photos we all took on trip to the Galapagos Islands last summer and made them into a beautiful book.

She did it online using MyPublisher.com. She incorporated captions, the ships daily schedule and pictures from the ships log as well as the ones we took.

Any reasonably diligent person can build a book like this (this is where the business opportunity occurs) but you have to learn how and you have to practice.  I believe there is a significant portion of the population who would like a beautiful, personal, photo memory book like this but don’t have the time or courage to get up the learning curve to get it done. If they could give a “Memory Reporter” the photos, some documents and an hour or so of their time to generate the flow and the captions they could get one of these wonderful books. I think of it as a reporter type job.

Events that you might buy a Life Book for:

  • Family vacations
  • Anniversaries (fiftieth)
  • Big Birthdays to celebrate a life
  • Wedding, with all of the ancillary parties
  • Charity Events as a gift to the Honoree

The cost would be dependent on how much of effort went into it the production.  But could be known in advance and calculated in advance from an online look-up table.  It would be expensive but not out of reach for millions of families.  I’m thinking in the $200 range.  Most of the work would be done online with a phone call to add the captions.  This is a big idea.

  1. Did you know that you can do this on Shutterfly? It takes some time and diligence, but it can be done. I had one made for my mom for her birthday a couple of years ago.
