Happy Hanukkah A country must be allowed to fight incursions that kill it citizens. I’m not a religious Jew but I will be praying this holiday season for moderate Palestinians and moderate Israelis to find ways to live and prosper together in peace. Shalom.

Never Again

That which has been seen…… cannot be unseen. Hamas’s Pogrom on October 7 was one such event. Jews from around the world will not stop until all of the perpetrators are brought to justice. I support this effort. It is not just for retribution but to show the world that when the Jews say “Never Again” they mean it. The photo is of the gate of the Dachau concentration camp in Germany.

What was Hamas Thinking?

Israel has a right to exist and to defend itself. Last week Hamas terrorists crossed the line into evil. They did it with the intent to provoke a response. At this point, eight days after the the terror attack, it is still impossible to determine what the response will be. It is the oldest synagogue building in the United States. The oldest congregation is in NYC and the oldest continuously operating synagogue is in Charleston. So many superlatives, so little time. Anyway the Touro Synagogue has a wonderful story and is an architectural gem.
